While orders usually ship within 1-2 business days, orders may take longer due to unforeseen circumstances. You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been successfully placed and additional emails once your order has been shipped. If you did not receive these emails, please check your spam folder.

Due to high demand, items may become unavailable even after an order has been placed. In these cases, a refund will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for the refund to show up on your bank or card statement.

Opening Theory can not ship to PO boxes, APO, or FPO addresses. All orders to such addresses will be cancelled.



All orders are shipped from Los Angeles, CA via UPS or DHL services.

Opening Theory is not liable for any misplaced or stolen packages. If the address provided to us upon checkout matches the exact address we have shipped your order to, and your tracking number reads as successfully shipped - we are not held responsible if your package has been misplaced. Stolen and lost packages are non-refundable. Certain misunderstandings may apply but evidence must be recorded, please contact and we will try our best to assist you with this matter. 



All international orders are shipped Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU). This means that customers are responsible for paying their local country's import duties at time of delivery. Placing an order to an international destination serves as confirmation that you understand your responsibility to pay these fees. Unfortunately, we are unable to calculate these fees at time of purchase.

Orders returned to the US from International Couriers will incur a 15% restocking fee unless otherwise discussed.



Restocking fees may be charged when items are returned without the polybag, are worn/damaged, have their care label removed, etc. Restocking fees may also be charged if items are returned without all the original packaging, instructions, and accessories.  Restocking fees are deducted from the customer's refund on original purchase when an item is returned.



Domestic orders can be returned for free within 15 days of the order being received. International orders will incur a fee for processing. 
All returned items must be in new, unworn condition with tags still attached. Returned items received in any other condition will be sent back at your expense unless otherwise agreed upon. We are unable to accept returns after 15 days of delivery. You can contact to initiate your return.
